How to prepare for a layoff
- Create an up to date resume so it reflects your recent accomplishments and skills
- Take advantage of any perks and benefits to which you are entitled in your current job
- Spend at least one to two hours a day networking, and talk to recruiters
- Best course of action: stay positive, place yourself in a position of strength, and take care of your health with proper rest
- Get organized
- Remove personal files from work computer - use a thumb drive to take them home, or print them
